Dette kapittelet gir en innføring i polypper og deres klassifisering. Kapittelet drøfter behandlingsalternativer for polyppfjerning og gir anbefalinger basert på polyppmorfologi og overflatevurdering. Videre gis anbefaling av oppfølging etter polyppfjerning basert på risikostratifisering med tilhørende oppfølgingsprotokoller for både benigne og maligne polypper. Maligne polypper omtalt i kapittelet er avgrenset til T1 kreft.
