The general rule is that you must go into quarantine for 10 days if you:
- arrive in Norway from
- Denmark: All regions except Greenland and Faroe Islands.
- Finland: All regions except Norra Savolax, Norra Karelen, Kajanaland, Mellersta Österbotten and Södra Savolax, Syd-Österbotten and Åland.
- Rest of the world: All countries except Iceland.

- have come into with someone who is infected, less than 48 hours before the person developed symptoms or within 48 hours before the positive test was taken if the person is not experiencing any symptoms.
Close contact is:
- contact with other persons at a distance of less than 2 metres for more than 15 minutes
or - direct physical contact with other persons
or - direct contact with another person’s secretions (e.g. saliva, nasal mucous and tears).
Contact between patients, relatives or others and healthcare professionals using appropriate infection control equipment is not considered to be close contact.
